Irecentlyboughta 98 Volvo S70 non-turbo. The car runs well, but recently the engine started tohesitate while drivingand if I stop to idle, the engine dips below 800 RPMand starts hesitating. Sometimes the car goes down all the way to 0, andshuts off. It turns back on, and then the problem keeps coming here and there.

I'd say that this happens every 5th or 6th time I drive the car. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

not sure but it wouldnt hurt to clean out the AIC.

 

A good point of start will be the spark plugs and the coils packs.

that's what I had read in foruns, and that's what I will do to my car

 

yes. replace your plugs and check your coils. Clean your aic, and clean your MAF. Also check your fuel pressure regulator.
