Default machine shop

Just wanted to let you all know about a great machine shop I was referred to in Durham NC. It is HRT Prerformance. This guy is great and can do anything. He mostly builds high end race engines, but will gladly do any and all engine work. He works on stuff from around the country and is quick. I took my 850 turbo head in on a Friday and it was done on Tuesday morning. Give him a call, you can trust him.

I haven't used them personaly, but have seen recent not great reviews in a classic car forum. Hard to say, ask for a firm quote, if your job is relitively simple, and they won't give a price guarentte with penalty for non performance (non performance pentaly will ususaly cost the buyer at least 10% above normal cost) then head for the local boys.

Yes, it is true I did not get a price guarantee, But he said he would call me if it went higher that his quote. When I picked up my head it was $25.00 cheaper than the quote I was given. No mention of a Non Performance work, so I can not comment on that. MY head was done in two days, and below cost. If you are gonna trash someone at least do it after you have dealt with them. You might have a good experience with that person, or shop.
