Default More HP please...

I've done allot of work on my S60 2.4L non-turbo, I'd like to do more. Improvements so far: body kit, lowering springs, foot pedals, upper engine mount bushing, and a sport exhaust all from Don N. at EVOLVE. (awsome guy) Time to work on the engine! I want more HP, from top to bottom. I'd love to put on a turbo, but any other suggestions would be more then welcome. I was looking for a salvaged or wrecked S60R to do a complete engine swap...but no luck just yet...
Can you put a turbo or any other set-up on a non-turbo 2.4L? Where would you start? What would have to be changed out other then the ECU, wiring harness and additional turbo parts and internal engine mods? Has anyone done this already? Thanks much...

~Don

1. You can do anything... It just takes time and tons of money.

2. You'd be better off selling your car and buying a turbo model and modding from there. You may not have wanted to hear it, but it is true.

3. Here is a list of some items you'd need to turbo your car...

- Turbo
- Intercooler
- Intercooler hard pipes
- Turbo hoses
- Vacuum lines
- Oil or water lines
- Major ECU tune (Dyno tuning would be needed to get proper tune)
- Hose clamps or T-bolt clamps
- Vac/Boost gauge
- Etc....

Unless you do some kind of engine transplant I have a feeling your looking at a good $5k plus to turbo your car PROPERLY.

Thanks for the info and the links.. I have more time and energy invested in the car to part with it. It's the back story that makes me keep it really. I bought it in Germany while I was in the service and I drove it on the autobahn to every country surrounding Germany and more. I've been prepared to spend at least 10k on the engine for awhile...just over time. I have my trusty 122s as a back-up car for the coming motor not in the S60 days..

I need to find a good garage with an awsome rep in my area... Then the game plan for parts needs to be built up.. It's a long project road.. can't wait to drive it... ~Don

If you are going to build it up...you should get forged internals from RSI (Click Here)

I've been doing allot of research, had allot of conversations with Jonathan at RSI about hardened internals. Going to build an engine there, I'm slowly getting parts together for the build, I'll start posting more as it happens. I keep getting blown out low beams on a side note, how irratating....

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, so please don't take it that way. But you say about spending at least 10k on the engine build, have you considered the driveline? All the power in the world isn't any good if you can't get it to the ground. Just something to consider...

I have been thinking about a stronger clutch and I'm looking into getting a S60R tranny. I'm not doing this all over night, but the more help the better and I thank you. You can rain on this parade anytime.....
