Default project codename: V

I am going to post an engine swap project here in this section of the forum if that is ok with the admins and update it when i get to wrench on it and take pics.Exhibit A: A 1992 Volvo 960"acutal color"I have recently aquired this 92 Volvo 960. It is in emmaculate condition aside from the leather seats (15 year old leather seats that have never been conditioned, you do the math)Exhibit B: Imposiible Motor IssuesI orignally diagnosed a timing issues when the car was first purcahsed. When taken to a diagnostic center for further inspection cylinders 1 and 4 reported no compression (for the not so savy in mechanic lingo, the engine went FUBAR). When disassembled, we found burnt and bent valves, burnt rings, and possible bearing issues along with a cracked block. bassically we have a really cool looking 800lb paper weight of a motor...Exhibit C: The insanity gleams through...I suddenly realized I had a massive space of an engine compartment...you know enough room for a nice v-8...and to think it would be the ULTIMATE sleeper. Imagine this, you pull up next to a 4 door volvo sedan with 4 inch dual exhaust, most people would think the guy was crazy, but when the flags drop all you see is tail lights and tire smoke...Now thats the ultimate donkey punch to the ego. Crate engines are on the menu.An edelbrock 427 measuring 380 ponies at the back tiresA ford 302 crate measuring 350hpA Dodge 360 Magnum...hehehe 400 hp.And last but least, the foaming at th mouth 426 hemi with hide away supercharger putting out 560 hp...Feed back would be nice but not neccesary, i will keep everyone updated on progress as we go down the line. And in spirit of the cars new nickname..."Remember, Remember the 5th of November..."

I second the 302. Converse Engineering makes a sweet converssion kit for a 200...but JTR converssions makes a 351 kit for the 200/700/900 series also...

oops...I posted in a dead thread didn't I?
