Default Need help. Completley new to Volvos, I have a project car.

My friend and I have this 1993 850 I believe with a 2.5L 20V I-5

NOTHING is wrong with it with two exceptions. The glovey is broken, and it has trouble maintaining oil pressure.

The car looks like its mint, its got 170k mile on it. Looks like its in remarkable condition.

Our goal is to turbocharge this. But I need some help.

#1: are there any known issues with oil pressure for us to start off repairing.
#2: Are there any interchangeable parts, perhaps with a Turbo 850, that we can swap injectors, Manifolds and get a tune done, maybe a fuel pump?

Has anyone turboed the 2.5L I5?

What kinda power should this put out stock.

(its an automatic)

Any guides or advice is much appreciated!@

For the oil pressure problem check the oil pan o-rings.
I have a topic in the 850 section on how to replace them.

If my car is getting loud, should I check the oil pan seals too? Don't these cars get loud anyway? And, why is that that they get loud?

They might be the oil pump sump seals.I know them as the oil pan o-rings and the oil pick up tube seals.
The tapping is caused by low oil pressure due to leaking/cracked or missing o-rings.

This may sound like a dumb question, but... missing o-rings in the oil pump sump, or elsewhere?

The o-rings discinegrate and fall into the oil pan thats why I say missing.
On your car you should have 3 o-rings total.2 for the oil pan and 1 for the pick up tube.
