Default Staged upgrades for 850, S70, and V70

Has anyone installed either the Stage 3 package from IPD or any of the staged upgrades from EuroSport Tuning? If so, which package and your feedback on performance.

I don't think many have. Especially on this forum.

You will get a better response from Volvospeed and or Swedespeed. As these are the two forums more prone for engine upgrade and more people doing this.

If it was me I would compare all of them and then compare prices to putting a kit together yourself.

Also EST's kits don't include a turbo like IPD's does.

Take for example these two kits...

1. EST's Stage 3+ for the s70/c70/v70 T5 models (HPT)
a. BSR PPC
b. EST intake
c. EST catback
d. EST downpipe

2. IPD USA's Stage III kit
a. IPD USA downpie
b. Stage III ECU upgrade
c. IPD USA catback
d. 18T turbo

Yeah you get a nice turbo upgrade from IPD USA, but an 18T can cause problems. Been known to bend rods with higher boost pressure. New upgraded rods and pistons should be bought to counter act this posibility.

If it was me I would go with the EST system. You will get a nice boost in performance/sound.

For about the same amount of money, the performance figures are on par with eachother, less technical hassle with the EST kit given that everything is essentially bolt versus having to do plumbing (i.e.: turbo)with the IPD kit. All in all, a great time to have a S70/V70.
