98 s70 GLT Recommend upgrades??
Hi. I'm new to the forum. I have a 98 s70 glt with the stock 2.4L engine and all that fun stuff. Once I get to stage zero, what do you guys recommend upgrading first. I would like more boost and overall performance. I was thinking of getting a BOV(HKS SSQV) first (i know that it doesnt help performance yet) because I wanted to get that out of the way. What next?

Custom is probably the cheapest route for the exhaust.
3" turbo-back, high flow cat, a resinator (optional), and a freefloring muffler.
I wouldn't put money into a BOV until you need it. You turbo's CBV will be fine up till ~20psi.... then you could run into problems.
Put on a cone filter or get the EST short ram kit or IPD SRT5 kit.

Welcome to the forum.
Stage zero first, good... Get a real boost gauge with this and one that can read 25 In Hg and 25 PSI.
Common mods are... Intake, Downpipe, Catback ECU upgrade.
I would suggest doing them in that order or at least doing the ECU last if you plan to do the other mods. As the ECU upgrade can take into account all the other mods you have done to your car.
I have a SpeedTuning USA ECU upgrade. Nice kick in the pants for the buck, but the tune isn't that great and will more then likely cause yor car to run rich. Yes I am going to say it spend the cash and get the IPD USA, RICA and or BSR PPC upgrades well researched and tested and worth the money.
I have to agree either wait on the BOV and or don't get it. Our cars are not powerful enough and wont make enough boost where a BOV will be beneficial. Also if your automatic you will only hear it go off when you let off the gas. Save the money and put it towards something else more beneficial.
I also suggest going custom for the downpipe and catback. It should be cheaper. Just find a local place that can mandrel bend pipes and have it made from SS if you can afford it.
