Default How to ask a question?

Greetings,

If I want to ask a question, is that a "new thread" or a "post"? If I want to go to a specific area (like v70 vehicles), how do I navigate there? If I want to research a specific area (like control arm) about a specific model (like v70) to see if anyone else has already asked/answered the question, how do I do that?

Thank you

Once you log on, you will see main headings, like Volvo 850, S70,etc..Click the appropriate Folder that pertains to your question and on there click "New Thread". A thread is your own sub folder where you can ask your question. Write a clear and short title as this is what people see when they first log on. Also if you are writing a maintenance question about your car and/or a part, it's always helpful if you have a picture. Sometimes the question you might have might already be asked, so on the top horizontal heading line you will see a few options. One is search. On there write a few key words that pertain to your question. If it has been asked, then something should come up. Sometimes multiple questions are asked but are asked in different ways, so your search might bring up nothing. If you post a question that has been asked and there's a thread already for it, what will happen is that some of us that are on here every day will just post a link to your question rederecting you to that thread! Make sence?? Phew, I just fried my brain just explaining that,lol.... I see you are new! Welcome. take your time navigating thru the Forum. Lots of smart people with lots of knowledge on here. it's a good resource and a good bunch. When you get a chance introduce your self to the rest and let us know what you are driving. Post. pics too so we can see what you ride is!
