Returning from a trip I had problems with my 960 engine surging. A few days later it started up and appeared to run fine a short distance to the gas station. After filling up it wouldn't start and had to sit for several hours before it would start again. Now it starts but runs rough at idle and occasionally the engine surges while stopped and driving. The radiator was recently changed due to a small leak. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

I had the same thing happen on Anika.
Check the coolant temperature sensor and the mass airflow sensor. Those were bad on my car and they caused stalling and surging...

 

check for a cracked, loose, split, disconnected vacuum line or tube. If you can't find anything there, check the MAF and other things mentioned above. Do you have a cel?
