Default is a 2000 XC a good car?

Hey guys, I have been trying to find my mom a low mileage Volvo wagon like mine. I had heard on here that a 98 and lower were the ones to get but wanted to confirm. I found a 2000 XC 70 with low miles, do these cars have the transmission problems like many other 70 series cars had (or any other major issues), or were these still reliable cars like my 850. I want a car that is going to be hassle resistant for my mom so any info you guys can give would be great.

Thanks,
Chet

The 98s are much more reliable than the 99+. The 98s are exactly the same under the hood as the 850. The more complicated electronics of the 99+ are their downfall. Spendy to fix when the ETM fails (and it will).
