I have a 2002 Volvo S40 1.9T.

I need one "snap-on" clip for my driver's side headlight assembly. This is one of the clips that keeps the headlight lens attached to the rest of the car and/or the rest of the headlight assembly (I'm not sure of the exact technicalities).

This is a tiny small part, but I owuld like to have it as I am missing one. I tried buying one from the Volvo dealership, but they told me they do not sell it separately from the entire headlight assembly (and I don't need the whole assembly). They also did not have one lying around.

I had the same problem with my parted 850. Yes, the dealer would sell only the entire assembly.

You should be able to, however, find an alternative at hardware store or auto parts shops. It does not have to be the exact shape as long as whatever alternative holds the two pieces together.

And as a last resort, try junk yard. I love junk yards, as I can find so many goodies at minimal charges. They are such a rescue for body/interior trim parts.
