I have a Alarm System Service required light on.
I have totally replaced the Alarm module that is under the passenger side wheel well with a factory new Volvo Module and I am getting the same message I did with the old one.
I am at a loss as to what else I need to check or replace. The Volvo dealer said that what I did should have resolved the problem without any reprogramming.
The dealer now wants to charge big bucks to diagnose the alarm and that doesn't include any parts or extra labor to fix it.
Please help me with any other parts or conections, relays, etc. that might solve this anoint message. Everything else like the sun roof works fine, just no alarm and service message. Thank you everyone for any help.

 

I have the same warning. I was thinking of getting the factory alarm deleted from the main computer. Then adding a aftermarket alarm when I want to...or not. The cost of this deletion is about $150.
