Sensitivity of XC90 Alarm System
I have had my 2006 XC90 for three weeks now and two annoying symptoms have surfaced. The first is the intermittent gushes of cold air that come from the floor vents even with heat set at highest setting ... I see from other comments this is a common complaint with the XC90. Another issue that has surfaced for me has to do with the sensitivity of the alarm system. My alarm has gone off inexplicably on 7 or 8 occasion (that I know of). It seems that a mild gust of wind will set it off. We were visiting freinds this past weekend and the alarm went off twice (that we know of) and it was a pretty calm evening. It's real emberrassing and frustrating.
I now have opted to enable the mass movement deactivator button every time I exit and lock the vehicle for fear that my alarm will go off. The service department at my dealer don't seem to have any ideas other than to let them have it for a few hours so that they can take a look at it. Has anyone else encountered this problem and were you able to resolve it?

wierd, i was deployed to iraq with a guy named arsenault.
sounds like its just a setting on your alarm sensitivity that needs to be turned down. maybe if you were in an enclosed garage, that high of sens would be ideal, since there should be no movement inside the garage itself.
