Ever since I got my S70, I've been a Volvo addict. I'm still in high school and I've already been considering what to buy after I have to say good-bye to my S70 *weep*. I really like the S60 since it is considered to be the successor to the S70. I was on the official Volvo web site and looking at the S60 concept. It looks extremely sleek and high-tech. I'd love it...except for one thing. It uses a four-cylinder engine with a new tech called GDi that only gets 180 hp. My 5-cylinder turbo gets 190. Just want to hear your thoughts.

 

I'm with you - the new 2010 S60 looks stunning. I've already put my name "on the list" at my local dealership.

I've been told by my dealer that the concept had this engine but that it will not be available right away. The T6 (280hp) will be the initial engine. This new S60 is built on the same platform as the new XC60 so I imagine an AWD T6 (just like the XC60) will be what we get right out of the gate - which is JUST FINE with me!

The dealer said options, pricing, etc will be available around August and that it should start shipping around October or November. That will be just in time for me!

 

Hey, I'm fine with being stuck with the T6. I'd rather have a car that gets 280 hp and doesn't run green than an engine that gets 180 hp and is green. Now only if they could apply the GTDi technology to an I5 and slap a turbo on it...
