Default 2010 XC60 thumbwheel (trip computer) --help

Hi there, I just bought an used 2010 XC60 3.2 FWD. I found that the trip computer always showed the "Driving distance on current fuel reserve" information. From the manual I know if I move the thumb wheel it should show other information like "Average speed", "Current speed in km/h" and "Current fuel consumption" as well. But when I moved the wheel up and down, nothing changed at all. It just shows the information like "300 miles to empty tank". Did I miss anything?

Have you tried pressing 'READ' to make it a blank message THEN using the thumbwheel? Or try pressing READ to make it blank, then make the '300 miles to empty tank' message come up and try scrolling. I'll try it in my V60 tomorrow to find out how the other messages come up, but I have a feeling you need to toggle READ.

Check if the dial button is working properly or if it is worn out. If everything seems in order, try restarting the system or unplugging the battery for a few minutes. Otherwise, it may be a software problem or a defect that needs to be checked. 😊
