Trip Computer
My battery died the other day and I jump started it. When Iturned the igniion on the trip computer blinked and then just completly turned off. I can't find a fuse for this and was wondering if there actually is a fuse somewhere for it or if there is an easy fix for this with out taking the instrument cluster apart. Any suggestion are greatly appreciated

RE: Trip Computer
Open the left side front door on the end of the dashboard there is a plastic peice.Remove the round cap and the screw then remove the cover. There is another screw under that cover. Then remove the speaker cover and remove the plastic clip.Push the center part of the clip one click then remove the clip.Next remove the A/C vents all the way across the dash.Use a small screw driver and pop the vents out. There is screws under there going up into the dash pad. There is also a couple by the speedo cluster.
If you want you can lift up on the left side of the dash and sneek the speedo cluster out.It can be done.
If you don't want to do it that way the continue across the dash remove the screws. Then remove the glove box insert and there is 4 10mm screw that go through a metal plate into the air bag.Remove them unplug the airbag. Then after removing the speakers and the screws from the right side the entire dash pad.
Unclip the speedometer cluster and unplug speedo and it should lift right out.
If you have anymore quiestions feel free to ask.

RE: Trip Computer
I had the exact same problem last night. The trip computer display went completely blank after a jump start.
I read in another forum that the fix involves disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few seconds and then re-connecting.
I tried it this morning, and VOILA!.......everything sprang back to life, although the clock has to be reset.
Hope this helps someone, as I've read a few posts describing similar situations.
