Hello guys I'm hoping that someone can give me some advice. I bought a used 2019 Volvo X60 last year and have been enjoying the car so far.

Last week I noticed a message "12 V Battery Charging fault Stop safely" so I took the car to Advanced auto parts and have them check both batteries. They found out that the small (front) 12 V battery needed to be charged and they charged it for me over 2 days. In the mean time I ordered an OEM battery and replaced it.

Well, the error message is still on and I can't get rid of it even though both batteries are good now.

I took the car to my local Volvo dealership and they quoted me the following:
- Diagnose and Replace BCSM 31652295. CEM-B129F87 Battery control switch module BCSM. Internal failures $1,131.03
- Secondary Battery Replacement: Replace support battery. Battery tested weak $210.32
- Software Upgrade: perform total upgrade 31483292 after module is replaced $182.00

And other unrelated recommendations.

I'm stunned to say the least. Is there another options instead of paying $1,500?? Please help
