264 GL Front windscreen (1976)
Hello All,
I am looking for a windscreen for a 1976 Volvo 264 GL. I have been told that they are hard to source now. Would anyone know of any dealer, junkyard or other who may have a windscreen that he is willing to sell? Thanks much.

Well, you've been lied to...and I have good news. The 260's (except the 262c Bertone) use the same windshield as the 140 and 240. What that means is any windshield from 1967 to 1993 will fit your car. In reality, if you want a new replacement, I highly recommend you tell your local glass shop you want one for a 1991+ 240. In 91, Volvo did away with the clips and metal bright work trimmed windshields. The 91+ glass has abuilt in rubber seal that acts as the trim. It seals easier and is simpler for today's glass techs to install. Here in Dallas, they are $89 cash and carry or $149 installed at your location. If you have a couple hundred bucks in your budget, request Pilkington brand glass as it seems to be among the best.
