Bought a used 09 C70 Convertible.

Not Certified.

Looking to purchase an Extended Warranty, as I'm sure I'll need it.

QUESTION: Does it matter if it goes out of factory warranty before I purchase the warranty? Is it Cheaper? I hear conflicting stories on this.

Would it make any sense to get the vehicle CERTIFIED somehow and then get the factory VOLVO WRAP warranty or is there other options?

I would definitely like to stick with the VOLVO WARRANTY vs some of the other Aftermarket ones, unless there's a good one.

Any way to buy any of these directly without a markup??

When we got our 09 S80, we looked at one at an Infiniti dealer. My local Volvo dealer stated that they could certify the car for about $1400. It would then be like any other CPO vehicle. We ultimately ended up purchasing a CPO car from a Volvo dealer, but it should be an option from any Volvo Dealer to have the car certified after the fact.

 

-if u own the vehicle, u can only get the ext. war. before the factory war. expire. u will need to do a 130 point inspection from volvo dealer before u get the ext. war. price is depend on how much deductable u pay everytime u need to claim. I suggest to stick w/the volvo ext.war. only, not aftermarket due to the parts & labour.

 

Is the Volvo extended warranty actualy through Volvo or a seprate company. The volvo dealer in my area sells warrantys through CNA National.
Any one herd of them??

 

The CPO program is all Volvo, no third party. I do not know if Volvo sells a regular (non CPO) extended warranty that is their product. Never heard of CNA, but the last extended warranty I purchased was in 98', as we have been buying CPO cars since then. IMHO the CPO is worth it's weight, in our recently purchsed S80, they have replaced the stereo and fuel tank, it has already more than paid for itself
