850 Turbo head seals
I’m new to the Forums but have seen some helpful post. I’m currently having problems with my 1996 850 Turbo motor (B5234T) blowing white smoke. The smell is pretty choking, but you don’t see it until the car has been running for a while and hot. I took it to the dealer and they could not really pin point out the issue. They said that it could be the seals that were leaking oil but hated to do all that work and still have the issue, so they recommended replacing the whole head. It was going to be really pricy and I just don’t have that kind of money to spend on it right now. Does anyone know where I could get instructions on how to replace all the seals they recommend and if there are hardware kits for this type of job?
FYI. I’m a computer guy, but can follow instructions quite well.

Sorry to tell u that, but it require skill & special tools to remove the valve cover. If u don't have the tools & skill, u will most likely break the camshaft guild then u r talking about another cam cover which is not cheap. I would get at least a volvo speailist or some technician that who knows what they r doing to do the job.
