Question 89 780 Bertone

Have an issue with the trunk release that is in the door jamb. Bertone owners know it is cable activated. The cable has either slipped its attachment or is broken at some point. Have not pursued entering thru the back seat pass thru, but I imagine that I have to somehow access the trunk release latch and trigger it from the back seat. Any others out there that have dealt with this issue? Thanks - Richard

Can you open it with a key? Or does it have a latch on the outside like a other Volvo's?

Default 89 780 Bertone

No latch or secondary means to get into the trunk, which surprises me for Volvo engineering

It is a major pain. I had to do this once. I removed all the back seats then went from there.
