I HAVE A 1993 VOLVO 850 GLT WITH 199,400 MILES. I JUST REPLACED THE BATTERY. I DROVE IT TO MY DADS HOUSE. I REPLACED THE FRONT DIRECTIONALS AND REWIRED THEM. THEY WORK FINE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CAR WILL NOT START NOW, I HAVE CHECKED EVERYTHING I KNOW OF. THE CAR WILL NOT EVEN TURN OVER NOTHING. I DID NOTICE THAT AT ONE POINT WHEN MY DAD MOVED THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THEW HEAD LAMPS I LOST ALL LIGHTS ON THE PANEL??? ANY IDEAS WHAT WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM OF NOT STARTING???
THANKS,
AL

So I went out to start my Volvo today, It's been sitting for about three months. It started and ran horribly for about three seconds, then shut off. When I went to restart, the motor just spun (sounded like absolutely no compression). I'm about to check the timing belt, but before I do can someone tell me if this is an interference motor? Can I just do a t-belt job on it and be good, or do I have the chance for some bent valves? It's a non turbo.
