I did a google search with no results.I have a 99 s80 t6 and im gonna install aftermarket hid kit but I want to disable the daytime running light feature so i dont burn out my bulbs or ballast can anyone help me thanks.

 

Only the Dealer can do it but most will not do it anymore. Some Volvo repair shops can do it as well.

 

can a usb scan tool do it or no ?

 

would go messing around in the computer unless your trained

What I do to turn off the Low Beams during the day is..switch from "O" up one notch to the parking lights..this will turn off the Low Beams as Daytime Running lights....

Here is the kicker though..when you stop and turn off the Ignition..it will not turn off the parking lights..you will have to put the switch back to the "O" position..when the Ignition is off..to turn off all lights.

It works great..but you have to REMEMBER to turn them off.

I don't know if this works on all Volvos..I do know it works on the 01 S80 which I own.
