AW55-50/51SN problem after oil change/software update...
Second owner of a black C70 t5. which I used for 30'000km before doing the 5-speed automatic gearbox oil change, and everything started to go wrong
- Do y'all think that the "clutch" of this automatix gearbox is simply dead by now ?
- Do y'all think I should have changed the transmission oil every 20-40'000km maximum ?
- Do y'all think that I could sue the garage to try to obtain a reparation of some sort ?
- What type of repair would you advise for this current gearbox ? Cheaper to swap it for a new one ? What could be the price to adapt a manual gearbox for this T-5 beauty ?

Please understand reality. You have a 24 year old Volvo that you probably drive really hard. It's going to break. It's your fault - no one else. At 36 perhaps you should have figured out personal responsibility by now. (ok now i'm being an *** - but it's true)

Lol ^^ Thank you for your answer.I know an other owner of the 240hp c70 T5 who flush this same AT every 20 to 40kkm : 370kkm and counting on the original AT.
But you're also probably right, despite respecting the warming-up time (15km in summer to 20km in winter, more for the AT than for the turbo), of course this T-5 engine @300hp goes hard fothis old. 5-speed AT (first years volvo started to use it in replacement of the previous reliable 4-speeds AT)... By any chances, don't you have any addresses for rebuilding this AT ? Or would you advise to perhaps directly try to look for a Manual Gearbox swap instead ? Price estimations for both estimations ? Adresses of specialists in Europe ?
