The button to lock my drivers door on my 2011 XC70 3.2 has stop functioning..first it stopped working from time to time & had to press it a couple times to get it to lock the door now it totally has stopped working altogether but all other door buttons work just fine..anyone ideas?
Thanks in advance, Jack

Which button?
The lock button on the fob/remote? The one on the drivers door switch assembly? Or do you mean the button that moves up and down when the electric locks are activated?

As for fobs, you should have 2, if it won't work with either one then the door lock is bad, common Volvo problem. My money is on that, it's 9 years old, about time.

On an S70 it took me a half day, I replaced bad bulbs, cleaned everything up and lubed anything that looked like it should be lubed. Figure 1 1/2 hours for an "Express Replace".

The button on the door...the key fob locks the all doors without issue.

Even easier - and cheaper!
You can do this yourself. Easy.

Thanks donf..what are the "bad bulbs" your referring to? So I assume you took the door apart?

The lights in the switches. I think for the 2011 you just have to replace the whole switch

Not sure we're on the same page..I'm referring to the little black rubber switch button on the each door handle that's not working on the drivers door..you press it to lock the doors instead of using the key fob.

Same page. Should have a little green rectangular light towrds the front to help find the switches in the dark. I find the lights very helpful but suspect most people dont.
Also, if I have something taken apart, I just fix everything in sight.
