Better headlights for my XC70
My 2002 XC70 healights suck! I have installed Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Vision lamps in all the lamps up fronthigh beam and low beam. While they are really white lights, the low beams just don't light up the road like my 2005 Subaru Outback. The high beams are great, but driving on back roads with low beams on (due to oncoming traffic), they just don't have the light coverage. So are there some alternatives out there to replace what I have i.e. HID aftermarket etc.? Thanks.

As far as actual lenses, none that I know of.
As far as HID's go, yes buy them. Worth every penny spent and to be honest HID's can be had for $100 and that is for a good set too.
Buy your HID's from SharpHID.com John will take good care of you.
I have an Apexcone 35w system from him and it works wonderfully and looks great too. The light output (Lumens) is far above any Halogen bulb can produce.
And the install is simple and takes like 15 minutes per side. Not much modification is needed, other then drilling a small hole in the back of the LOW beam caps so the wires can pass through. And a gasket will seal up the the hole.
