Blarring unending horn
I was driving down the road my horn starting just blarring with out me even touching it. Luckly I was only a block away, but still it was embarrasing to be driving as my horn is constantly going off. I had to leave to catch a ferry but when I came back and turned on my car again, it started up right as I started to move forward. I notice that when I turn the steerring wheel is when it starts to go off. If I turn it to the left or to the right it starts off with the constant blarring. I want to get it to a shop to fix...but I don't want to drive with a blarring horn. It's a 1990 240 4D volvo is there anything I can do? Any wires I can just rip out...heh.
But seriously any ideas at all that I can do to shut the damn thing up. Mind you I know nothing about cars.

Drive with ear plugs, and toss extra sets out the window as you drive, or lift the hood and pull the wiresright off the horns. It sounds(ha)like the problem is in the steering colomn.
yeah dirt or a short. my cousin had one of those general lee cars. 69 charger i think. i forget. but anyway he let me drive it and every time you turned the steering wheel to the left, it would honk the horn just a little.
