Default boot problem

I bought a new XC70 in Dec 2007 and have twice taken it back to the dealer to have the boot door connections to the car body tightened as an irratating noise develops which is heard when going over bumps etc. The dealer now tells me that this might be a stress issue but I dont buy it but I wanted to check with other owners if they have experienced anything similar before I complain for a third time. Do the XC70's have a structual problem? Your feedback will be much appreciated.

might be your upper strut mounts. they are notorious for making noise when they need to be replaced, it's not really a driveability issue but handling will be sharper if you do replace em.
