Bumper and trim painting

Bumper and trim painting
I am thinking about pulling the trim pieces and bumpers off of my 96 850 to repaint them. They are faded and show some wear -I was wondering if anyone else has done this.
My concern is that the final product may look like I did it at home. I am pretty decent with a spray can from practice with my other hobbies, but how does bumper paint (probably duplicolor) dry and finish on the Volvo parts?
I plan on thoroughly cleaning and lightly sanding the parts before I paint, and don't mind taking some time to get the job done -- but will the finished product be worth it?
Any other tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Are you referring to the blackish trim? If so, they sell products that will allow you to restore those parts back to black or dark grey. I belive iPd has a product called Forever Black. You can check it out here: http://www.ipdusa.com/Universal-Prod...-202-617-1075/
I have heard good things about it. I purchased some a couple of months ago but have not applied it yet. Will likely do it this weekend.
