Default Plastic Trim Painting

Has anyone had luck with painting the plastic trim on the rear bumper and side base door trim of an XC90. I know it is possible, but how long would it stand up before flaking off? I assume a body shop would do a light sanding to prep the surface prior to painting.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I would not consider painting the plastic. I do not know what could be done to insure that the paint would be durable and stay on. I would expect it to start to flake away in time.

You would think, but they don't offer the skirt kit for the side of the vehicle

You could always just use Forever Black on the plastic.. it turns it from a light black to jet black... works awesome!
