Can I use these tires
I have a 2016 V60 T5 AWD and I would like a higher sidewall than what came with the car. I would guess that if it works on a V60 Cross Country the 235/50-18 will work on my 18 inc rims.
What say ye?2016 V60 Cross Country
18" 235/50-18

Work as in fit inside the fenders? The main issue I see is the 235/40-18s vs the 235/50-18s have about a 7.5% difference in circumference - meaning with the 50s you'd be going a 60 mph true speed with the car indicating 55. The proper way to get taller side walls is to go to a 17 inch rim and run a tire with a comparable circumference such as a 215/50-17.

The V60 T5 AWD and the V60 Cross Country are the same animal except the Cross Country has is higher off the ground. So I was thinking if the Cross Country can use that tire the Non-cross country should be able to do it. At most a computer update????
If I have to spend $2500 for new rims and tires it isn't that big of a deal.
I've learned a lesson and that is to never buy a car with low profile tires. I want more air in my tires to help cushion the rough pot hole filled roads.

I suppose you can ask the dealer if they can reprogram the speedo. In the old days cars had a reduction gear to match road speed to tire / axle ratios. I'm assuming a 2016 does this with software. As to the extra wheels, I like to keep separate winter and summer rims and run -1s for my winters. on our S40 I have 15s with the snows and 16s for the summer. Nice that I can do my change overs in about 30 minutes at home.
