Default Charging error at freezing temperature

I have a 2018 Volvo xc60 hybrid and I have noticed that it would not accept the charger at ambient temps of below 32F. At least not consistently, but definitely not below below 30F. Called the dealer and it seems they are not aware of the problem and are blaming the charging cable. For now I just charge while driving. I wonder if anyone else on this forum have experienced similar problem.

why not visit the dealer on a cold day or leave over night and have them see your issue first hand. I assume your car is under warranty so you should work with the dealer tech lead (not the service desk person...) to sort this out for you.

I suppose I could do that except that I am too busy and the dealers don’t work weekends. but my surprise is why the error does not get logged by the car so diagnostic can be done.by mechanic. I will look into that before it warms up.
