Default Cleaning tinted windows

It's time for some well-deserved spring cleaning for my 245. But, after reading a handful of articles about the 'right' way to clean tinted windows, I'm too paranoid to try any cleaner other than plain water for fear of damaging the tint. Anyone have any products you might recommend or special techniques that have been successful on your car?

Anything not based on ammonia. Water would be the "best" cleaner

Get a spray bottle and fill it up, then put a few drops of dishwashing soap in it. Make sure you wet them very well to avaid scratching them.

Well, if he hasn't got 'em clean in 2 years since the thread was started, he probably isn't going to.

Hey, back when the forum was messed up and the thread order loaded wrong...I was commenting on threads much older!! It happens! I look for dead threads with recent activity because it is a spammer hitching a ride on an existing thread.
