Just wanted to get some feedback. We've been leasing a 2009 Mercedes C300 Sport for almost two years and the lease is almost up, we may renew for another year but I'm also looking at maybe buying a used Volvo. I drive autocross about once a month, I won my class in the C300 last year, and we like having a manual instead of auto. I like the S60 R and or the V50, the V50 power is near what we have with the C300 and I like the looks of both Volvos. Having a trunk and four doors is also a necessity.

So, thoughts? Good, bad. Stuff to look out for that breaks? Thanks.

 

I had a 2004 S60R and it was a blast, but it was not the best autocrosser because it had a very wide turning radius and made it hard to get around tight turns. Personally, I would go with the V50. It is smaller and lighter then the S60R and does not have the systems that make things fail. All the V50 would need is a tune and it would be just as powerful as the S60R.
