CV Joint Boot or Axle Replacement

Been clicking (only on turns) for thousands of miles.
Just discovered torn boot(s) a few days ago.
Car is a 98 v70 t5 w/ 171k on the clock.
Replace axles or the damaged boots?

if the boot been torn which mean dirt & water got in already. I usually go w/a rebuild aftermarket shaft
