Default daytime running lights

if i wanted to get rid of my daytime running lights, is it just a matter of getting a new relay?? my headlights never turn off when the car is on, regardless of what the switch says..

thx

haveing the aftermarket headlights, i love not having them on. i can flip on the parking lights, and the LED's in the middle light up, stands out a lot more. of course, it's probly about as usefull as a butthole on your elbow, but they look nice! lol

The 'thread starter' resides in Ontario, Canada. It is NOT possible to turn off his head lamps. For many years now, Canada has had a statute that the lamps (not parking lamps) MUST BE PROGRAMMED BY ANY MANUFACTURER SELLING AUTOS IN CANADA to always be on. So...................he's stuck! Ontario also does not 'like' radar detectors...............big fine if caught with one.

lol

another attack on canada, EH?

oh well.

NipZ, i would assume your first step would be to determine if the car was sold there in the northern land, or if it was purchased in the states, and driven up there, sold by private party. (unless...of course...you had it when you moved there?) once you find out its origins, then refer back to here [8D]

Flame jet..........Canada is not the US's enemy.........they are our ally!! Their laws are different than those in the US. In addition, all Canadian autos must have a speedo reading in kilometers............I truly doubt that an American auto is traded in Canada. Nice to know info...........I spend many a day each year in Toronto..............so........no "attack on Canada".
