Decisions Decisions..
still yet to get my volvo. The guy selling the 95 850 wagon keep bailing on me. Looking at other options in the mean time. Probably better options at that! While waiting for sellers response to begin another process of elimination.. You guys are more than welcome to tell me what you think!
95 940 wagon - 139k miles! 1995 volvo 940 wagon, great shape!!
98 v70 AWD turbo wagon 197k miles
1998 Volvo V70 AWD Turbo
96 850 glt w/ 90k that i was planning on offering 3k to the seller if we ever meet.
1996 Volvo 850 GLT Wagon

I was also looking at this 99 xc and comparing it to the 98 v70 volvo v70 xc 1999..
My reason for eliminating this car despite the maitenance, is the year. I'm almost sure that cross country was made when volvo went under ford or chinese ownership. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but that 98 v70 is known to be significantly superior to this 99 xc. ?

The red '96 likely has a lot more than 96k. Whenever you see a pic of the dash with the odo at 000, assume that the odo is broken. I once checked a car that had 124,500 on the dash but the cluster recorded 224,800 internally. On the pre '96 cars you can check the actual miles so you can verify the miles on the '94 car if the cluster hasn't been replaced.
The car that should have the least amount of repairs, should be the '95, 940 wagon.
The funest car to drive should be the '98 AWD V70, but it will have it's share of repairs and maintenance.
Don't be fooled by low mileage cars, cars that have not been driven enough can have real issues.

Looks like someone beat you to the 1995 940 (listing deleted)
Check KBB for book value. That 96 850GLT books for about $3600.
And before you buy, get a Carfax. I know it's a few extra $$$ but it has kept me from buying a few cars. (odometer discrepancy, rebuilt title, accidents, etc)
*RSPI, thanks for posting that video. Good info should I ever look at one with "low mileage"

jeez.. Im really out of luck today. 98 v70 sold, 95 940 sold, 94 850 t broken odometer and other misc issues. 960 sedan is being repaired (unknown issues) no update from sellers. And i'm already starting to give up on that 96 850 glt, the seller has a new excuse everyday why he cant meet up. Not to mention, id have to really chew him down on his price..
DAMN! all of these posts are within a couple days old too, so I can't be that slow lol.. Bad luck ftl.
