Default Diagnostician Please

Hello all,

I have been a member for a while now and have received nothing but good info and most of the directions where great. I may have made a couple of errors but, all in all, I am having a good time and learning a whole lot.

I performed a self test on my '94 850 using the ports under the hood near the front on the passenger side and would like to list them here as I went through both of the ports (A + B) to see what codes could be pulled as I am fairly certain that I have a faulty brake switch which is causing my ABS light to come on.

A1 -

1-1-1 No fault found.

A2 -

1-1-1 No fault found.

A3 -

1-4-1 Pedal signal faulty - shorted to ground.
1-4-2 Stop lamp switch faulty.

Now these are the codes that I need help with.

A6 -

2-4-1
2-1-4
3-2-4
3-1-4
1-3-1

A7 -

1-3-2
1-2-2

These codes are from the B Side.

B1 -

1-2-2
1-3-2
1-3-4
4-1-1
4-1-3
4-1-4
4-1-5
4-1-6
4-1-7
4-1-8

B2 -

1-2-2

B5 -

1-1-1

What systems are A6 - B5 associated with? There seem to be a number of them and I've put alot of coin into the car already and I looking forward to some great summer driving. Prefferably trouble free.

If there is someone with the answers to these codes or if you are able to direct me to the information I need to decode them I will be very greatful.

Default RE: Diagnostician Please

A6 is ignition Clear them all and see if they come back.
B5 is SRS but showed no codes in what you posted above.
B1 is climate control clear and see what comes back.

Default RE: Diagnostician Please

Thanks [sm=smiley20.gif]Tech,

Istartedchecking for codes for the ABS and decided to check all the positions. I should have asked what all of the A and B position designation meant. I know A1 to A3 but the rest???

I am still curious as to what all the B1 and B2 codes are? Or rather what they mean? Seems to be a number of them

Will reset in the morning and see what comes back and go from there.

SWEEEEEET,

Thank youJPN [sm=smiley20.gif]for the information.

According to the codes the only thing working correctly on the car are the tires. I'm wondering whether or not these are things that I can repair myself or if this is going to be another expensive trip to the shop.

Where does one start?I wouldreally want to get the car back into the best shape possibleas theweather is getting much better here and without a garage working on the car will be more comfortable.

Where do I start?

Thank you for your help.

You're welcome, just make sure to double check the SRS code 1-1-1.
