Difficulties with key
Hi to all...thanks for taking the time to read this post.
I have a 2007 S80. It's a lovely big wagon and I can't really fault it. My only gripe is that my key is 'hit and miss' when it comes to opening the car remotely, which I'm sure can apply to all Volvo cars as they have similar keys around that era. The unlock button needs to be pressed multiple times before it gets round to opening the car. There is obviously some kind of short within the unlock button on the key itself as my lock button is fine and my wife's key works fine. Is there any way of getting the key reconditioned, or getting the lock button 'short' fixed?
Other than this it means buying a new key, which I know will cost a couple of hundred quid, which will be the dealers suggestion.
I hope someone can shed some light on this for me.
Thanks
