Hey! Thanks for looking. I have a '99 xc70 that I believe has a bad ETM I detailed all of my testing and diagnoses here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/new-me...damage-108800/
However, I am here to ask a simple question. If I find a '99 xc70 ETM can I drop that in without reprogramming it? Can I do the same with an '01? Lastly is there a way for me to program it myself with computer software? I already dropped $125 on a contactless ETM rebuild kit and I think that the ETM is just bad, I really can't justify spending an additional $600 for a new programmed module from XeModeX. Thanks again for reading, and I really appreciate it if you take the time to answer. Have a nice day!

2. Maybe, you have to bolt it up and try it.
3. Yes with a VIDA subscription, a compatible CPU, and a compatible DICE unit you can "program" a NEW throttle module. VIDA can't "program" a USED module. Some aftermarket source one like xemodex can do that.
