Engine Cleaner?

Engine Cleaner?
2013 Volvo S60 2.5 T5
I am wanting to give my engine a little clean.
Is there one product that is better than others to clean it out?
There are some options like Seafoam, Mystery Oil, Lucas Oil Deep Clean, etc.
Just seeing if there was anything out there that is more apt to Volvos.

cleaning the inside or outside of the engine?
On the inside, there's two general approaches - 1) oil additives with a lot of detergents. Considering you have a 2013 which I assume has run synthetic since new, there's nothing to do here as there should not be any gunk - and staining is normal (say if you look in the filler cap at the cams). 2) fuel additives. I have noticed that my VW dealer put in Techron fuel injector cleaner as part of servicing my 2012 CC 2.0T. If you regularly run brand name premium gas, this is probably not needed, but if you run regular or reseller brands, running injector cleaner periodically (say every 10 tanks of gas) is something Consumer Reports validated as having a benefit. Cleaning the outside of the engine is something to be careful about as well, every so often there's a post about somebody who got some component wet to adverse effect...

The stuff you list is all internal so I assume that is what you are asking for. Any way, I have yet to see a 3 year old Volvo with an oil leakage problem requiring external cleaning.
As mt6127 says, if you have been using synthetic oil the the internals should be clean. I ran an S70 to close to 200, 000 without a problem. Oil trap finally got me but I have yet to see anyone escape that particular demon much longer than that.
I do drop a few ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in the crank case once a year after 100k under the impression that it swells up seals / valve guides. I have no idea if I'm actually helping anything or mot but I do it on any high mileage engine.
I do recommend RXP because I have no way of knowing what they are putting in my gas - alcohol is creeping into more and more gas stations and not all of them admit (or possibly know) it. I usually run 3 bottles after New Years and 3 more after 4th of July. Is it the Real Deal or Snake Oil? I don't know - I do know I had a Tahoe w/ just over 100,000 on it and the dealership told me I needed "decorbonizing" - instaed I ran 4 bottles through it and did notice better starting/smoother running. I tend to be skeptical but IN MY EXPERIENCE it seems to help.
