good old speeding ticket
So I was making a left turn and I didnt have the stability traction control on my 2001 s80 t6 - was showing to my friend what it does. I accelerated quite quickly but no more that 30 mph before I let off the gas. BLUE LIGHts All over me,
On the Ticket he estimated(thats it) that I was going 40mph in a 35, and wrote on the ticket Noise offensive (Saveling tires - probably meant screeching tires?)..
What do you guys think, I am going to appeal this because I never crossed over the speed limit and yes my tires were screeching a little bit. "90-17 was the offense"

You can go to court and get it dropped slightly, but I don't think you're going to be able to go in there and be like "I was only going 30, I swear" and they be like "Oh, ok, we'll take the ticket back then".
From what I have heard, if they don't have a speed gun confirmation on the violation, they will usually drop the ticket and put you on probation. As for the noise, I don't know about that. Usually, if you have a clean record, they just put you on a 6 to 12 month probation. Especially if the officer does not show up for the court date, which a lot of them don't.
A couple of month ago I was in my daughter's S70 GLT and decided to mess with a Mustang off the light. I did not see the not 1 but 2 state troopers that was sitting across the street helping a lady change a tire. Well, I smoked that Mustang out of the block but maybe he seen the troopers. I spun tires twice leaving that spot (smoke going everywhere). About 2 miles down the road the troopers caught up with me and was kind of caught off guard that I was an older guy messing around like that. My daughters car has a college license plate on it. I never broke the speed limit either but the troopers were not in their cars so they had no way of checking my speed. They did not give me a ticket, I blamed it on the Mustang which was long gone. He just cut me a break. Be nice to the police and they are usually cool.
