Has anyone tried Hankook Ventus tires???

I put a couple of Hankook Ventus tires on the front of my 924S recently, and I'm pretty pleased with them. Definitely worth the money. I wouldn't call them ultra-high performance however, but they stick fairly well. They're not as sporty as the BFG G-Force Sports I replaced, but they give a much smoother and quieter ride.
I also bought a set of Hankook Optimo tires for the wife's Accord about 20k miles ago, and they've been great. Every bit as good as the Michelins that were on it, at about half the price.

295's??? That's nuts. You're not rubbing?
I'm trying to see if I can get this guy down to $250 or less. He claims they are brand new, never installed. I need them on my Titans. I read a few reviews today and they were pretty mixed. I do like that they are said to be quiet but was a little concerned about tread wear, most say they needed replaced around 20,000. I'm not a hard driver so maybe I can get 40k out of them. I only drive hard / corner hard about once or twice per month.

I have had experience with those on a few vehicles and overall they're pretty good tires and a great value. They stick nicely and are pretty quiet. Unless you plan on taking your car to a track and beating on it, they are just fine. You'll never find any tires limits while driving on public roads unless you're nuts. The one gripe I've heard about them is that they will wear like crazy if anthing alignment related is even a hair off.

Well, I picked up the Hankooks. I figured that I would not be able to find a new set of tires for $250 anywhere. I'll probably get them installed at Wal-Mart since that is the cheapest place in the world to get tires mounted and balanced. I think they'll do it for $7.50 per tire with lifetime balance. Like a sore d*&%, you can't beat it.

not real impressed with these tires personally.put a set of them on my wifes 05 cavalier when i put aftermarket rims on it and not even 20k later that are are all not much better than a set of drag slicks right now, and she is a easy driver. hell i get better mileage outta the cheap tires i put on my GP and burn my tires regularly on that

Well, it's been about 1,000 miles since I installed these tires and I must say that I like them better than the Kuhmo's that I use to have. They seem to have better wet traction, they are pretty quiet and don't seem to soft. I have only broke traction with them once and they seem to be holding on the rim better than the kuhmo's. Now they are 215's vs 205's but I don't think that would matter on the rim mount. I was loosing air in the Kuhmo's all the time. No problem with these to date.
I'll post back when I get 10,000 on them. Great so far for $250.
