can anyone give mer advice ?..i got 1995 volvo 960 2.5l engine..i need to replace head gasket.how to remove intake manifold clamps?..they are crimped...do i need to replace them too...does it need special tool to install..has anyone come cross with that?..is it possible to remove intake manifold{to avoid damaging clamps} with the head?..how to proceed?...thanks guys

 

I shaved down a flat head screw driver to make it thin enough to slide into the crimp. If you look closely at the clamps one side will pop open with a slight twist. Only unclamp the side towards the block. If your gental enough the clamps will be reusable by squeezing them back together with flat tip pliers.
