Hey everyone,
I'm a new moderator of this fine forum. I will most likely keep to the S40 section, but I'll be in and out of the other sections as well. I thought I would take this time to introduce myself a little bit. Here it goes:
I'm a full time student of Architectural Engineering at a school in the midwest. I also work at a public library 20 hours per week primarily taking care of the 20+ computers.
I bought my 2000 S40 in May of 2008 as my first car with a cool 88,000 miles on the odometer. I bought it from a not-so-reputable dealer, consequently I had $1,100 in repairs the first month. I have experienced pretty much every common problem that the early 40's have. I also have a fair bit of knowledge about exterior detailing especially paint issues.
My car is not aggresively modded, but everything adds up: eurosporttuning cold air intake, custom painted IPD eyebrows, IPD high performance plug wires, 35% all around window tint, PIAA silicon wipers with spoilers, and 17x7 Konig Twilite rims wrapped in Nitto Neogen rubber (summer only.)
I am also a member of http://www.s40concepts.net/forum/ under the same user name. When in doubt on a question I will refer to the guys over there for more information and if need be, start a thread. In addition to my two Volvo forums, I am also an active member of http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/ under the user name "volvo4life." I have a fairly strong web presence under the user name "lyonsroar," so if you see that user name, it's probably me!
