I have discovered my newly acquired V50 comes fitted with HID Xenon bulbs for the front running lights and I got a bit of a shock when it came to pricing these things locally, example, $100 each in Canadian Tire plus tax.
I searched Ebay and found I could buy a pair of HID bulbs direct from China for $12US, including shipping!
I did a little online research on the Asian bulbs and all of the negatives appear to come from those retailing the higher priced bulbs.
I have purchased many Asian electronic boards from online retailers and have rarely been disappointing with the quality and never with the price, so I have ordered a $12 pair of HID bulbs and even if they last only a year, I will still be well in the money.

 

Received a pair of $12 Xenon bulbs and put one in 3 weeks ago and it is working just fine.
On inspection, under a magnifier, both the new and old bulb look identical but for the printing. Who is to say both bulbs are not produced in China?
