I'm considering adding a hitch to my XC70 so I can use a higher capacity bike rack than just the type that strap on the back (or buying a roof rack). I'm not trying to tow. I'm guessing I could do this at the dealer or uhaul, but curious if I could get some advice from people smarter than I am. Most things at the dealer end up being rather expensive so I'm curious about alternatives. Could I do this myself? What would that entail? Where would I buy it?

 

start by looking at etrailer.com. I used them when doing a hitch on my wifes Highlander. They have model specific content as well.
