Default Hose Replacement - crankcase vent??

I recently purchased a 2005 s60 2.5T with 72,000 miles. I've driven it about 1000 miles and the "coolant low" light appeared. I topped it off with water just above the "min" line and about 500 miles later, it was on again. In looking at the engine I noticed a broken hose on top of the motor beside the oil cap. I'm trying to locate a replacement hose and think this could be the PCV Crankcase ventilation? Replacement hoses do not appear to have the corregation this current hose has. Any suggestions?

Hi CJ and welcome to the forum.

Not sure about your car but a lot of 850's have a problem with the cap on the coolant reservoir, green is better.

As for that broken hose, yes that is part of the PCV system. At 7 or 8 years old I would suggest replacing the system due to the fact that most of the hoses and tubes are likely to be brittle.
