Default Installing Speakers in 96' 960 Station Wagon

I just bought the following Boston Acoustics S65RC Speakers for the front and rear doors of my station wagon. Do you know the best way to install these? I am running straight of the head unit and do not plan on adding another amplifier.

I am trying to figure out how to take of the door panels to install it.
Is there a DIY guide on how to install the speakers into the car. I work with PA sound quite a bit, and figure it will be a removal of the door panel, than pop off the old speakers, pop the new ones back into place and screw the speaker grille back on.

Could use your help here.

Thanks!

if the 960 speaker pods are anything like the '00 v70 ones, you're in for some fun. i upgraded the speakers in my front doors to Infinity Kappas. actually had to re-use the basket from the OEM speakers but remove the magnet and speaker cone, so basically my Infinity's are screwed into the framework of the original speaker. it's the best way i could find to mount the speakers properly without having them be too far from or too close to the door panels. as for the rear doors, i thought the oem ones were pretty good at filling in the mids/bass so i didn't upgrade them. the dash ones aren't bad either, neither are the tiny d-pillar ones. your car probably has different speakers, though. just don't feel too bad if you have to destroy the oem ones to install the aftermarket ones, b/c they make a great bracket! i think some websites sell something similar which is probably very similar to cutting the magnet off the oem's so if you don't want to cut em apart you could do that.

yeah well the oem's are mostly not working and fade in and out, could be a head unit or wiring issue, but i got these speaker.

is there a guide on how to install speakers in volvo's made before 2000?

fade in and out sounds like bad amplifier: possibly bad HU

search this forum or other volvo forums, there may be a fix and i'm sure there are speaker install guides.

just worked with my friend and got the speakers installed.
Man it was a pain, definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. We had to drill out the housing, than break the oem speakers to get them out, and than drill the speakers into the door. After all this, the back speakers still don't work! I know its not the speakers, and it is most likely not a wiring issue, which means a bad HU.

So far I found this but I want to go for a new one. I was thinking of maybe getting a unit with some more power than oem to power these speakers but I enjoy the stock player
The oem head unit is for a 6 disc changer in the back of the car

Anyone know where I can get a new one?
