Default Instrument panel lights problem.

hello everyone, im having a weird problem with my volvo, my cluster, and heater control lights all go out after a few seconds of being on. so... here is how it goes, i get in my car at night, turn on my headlights and they are on, after about 5 seconds, or somtimes right away, they turn off. ive never seen this happen before so i wonder if someone else has, or knows a solution. plz help.

-95 volvo 850 turbo station wagon.

Probably your light switch going bad.

im sorry i think i forgot a piece of information, my headlights do stay on, jus the instrument panel lights go off. do you think my headlight switch is bad? or the info/dimmer switch. thanks for the help.

try to play with you dimmer switch, see if it makes a different
